As a Ross Secret Bargain Hunter for the last 5 months I’ve had a clear theme when it comes to shopping and prepping outfits to share, which is: Seasonal Transitional Style. To me, these are some of the most fun outfits to pull together because they’re often the most difficult times to figure out just what to wear, and I love a great style challenge!

So here I am back at it with Ross for summer to fall transitional style to hopefully offer you a bit of creativity when shopping and creating outfits for the season.

With this challenge, I really wanted to find a way to create transitional looks using some of the items I’ve already purchased from Ross and worn in the past to demonstrate how you can truly wear your clothes over and over again in new ways for each season and for seasons to come if you shop smart! I headed to Ross determined to find that ONE PERFECT PIECE that would not only work with a handful of different styles, but that would be warm enough to take me into fall but not so hot that I’d overheat in the late summer months.

When I spotted this designer furry vest with a turtleneck that was both cozy and chic, I new I had hit the jackpot!

With the weather in mind and my previous Ross purchases in my view, I pulled the denim shirt and flatform sandals from my June Gloom outfit as well as the fringe bag, sunglasses, and sandals from my Spring to Summer look.

Equipped with only my new luxe faux fur vest and fringe bag consistent in each look, I pulled together three completely different and fun outfits to show the ease and versatility of styling for the season if you just get a little creative and shop those great Ross bargains!

Look #1: Holding Onto Summer

This luxe faux fur vest is perfect to throw on with your favorite summer dress you’re just not ready to give up yet. Pair it with sandals on a warmer day or ankle boots if it’s a bit chillier in the evening and you’ve got the perfectly simple fall transitional outfit to wear anywhere.

Look #2: Cozy Boho Chic

I love this cozy-chic look. Denim on denim is here to stay but wearing the vest over two hues breaks it up in a visually pleasing fashion. Normally this look would hint in the preppy direction but with the texture of the vest, the fringe bag, and the ankle boots, this classic look has a hint of cool boho and is perfect for chilly fall nights.

Look #3: Halloween Spirit

Halloween is in the air and I’m loving it! I DIY’d these fun Leather Cat Ears a few years ago and have been wearing them every October since! They’re the perfect way to add a little Halloween spirit to any look.

Throwing this furry vest over an easy turtleneck dress is a no-brainer! It takes it to a whole new level while adding warmth. The flat over the knee boots in a similar color keep it sexy but understated and as you can see, a fringe bag can take you from boho to classic to feline seamlessly for the season.

This outfit is the perfect solution for those who want to get festive for the holiday but not go over the top with their look. Take the ears off and the outfit is still totally wearable for fall.
