Beauty // Jade Roller (or Chi Roller) New Anti-Aging Fave

jade roller

A few weeks ago Helena (from BrooklynBlonde.com) shared a similar jade roller on her Insta Stories and I was so intrigued, I hopped right over to Amazon and bought one.

As obsessed as I am with my foam roller to massage out the kinks in my back and legs, which I’ve used nearly every night for over five years now for my body (also said to aid in cellulite reduction), I never even thought that I could do the same for my face… and I’m not sure why. I actually do a quick facial massage with my hands most nights before I go to sleep just to relax the muscles – not only because it feels good, but to promote sleep as well as combat aging. So when I saw a product that could possibly do all of that and more – BETTER than I was already doing, while being totally inexpensive, I had to try it.

Chi Roller Claims…

Jade stone has been used for thousands of years in China and known for it’s cooling properties in revitalizing Chi (vital energies) and maintaining body fluid. The use of the Jade stone rollers helps improve Chi circulation by stimulating the meridian points. GingerChi provide an informational leaflet where customers can follow step-by-step instructions to gentle facial massage to help to reduce wrinkles, replenish the facial muscles and revitalize elasticity of skin. Please take great care when handling the Chi roller. The roller is handmade and delicate; we recommend using gentle pressure as skin is also delicate.

I actually bought a set with a Jade Roller that also came with other “scraping” stones and a jade pressure pointer but I’ve only used the roller so far… AND I LOVE IT. It has done just what I wanted it to do, which is diminish the lines specifically between my eyes.

I don’t really worry about puffiness, so I use it only moderately around my eyes, face, and even my neck, but let me tell you, I massage the area between my eyes with great pressure, first with the small side, and then with the larger one.

I use it only at night and after I wash my face and before I moisturize, and make sure I wipe it down after each use so it doesn’t cause breakouts. I love that it’s totally relaxing before bed and has added to my sleep ritual, but mostly I love waking up and seeing the lines in between my eyes just a little softer than the day before.
