BlogHer asked if I wouldn’t mind choosing a video from their vast inventory of BlogHerTV segments and recreate one of the beauty or hair tutorials to share with you… so of course I agreed! I looked around for a bit, learned a few new tips and tricks, and settled on this fun little ditty below; wherein Judy creates bangs with her long hair without actually cutting her hair.
Judy used just the front section of her hair, but my ends are a little fried at the moment and the top section wasn’t offering enough bang for the buck, so to speak. So I used all my hair, created a cute updo and got some fringe in the process. It’s actually quite easy. The trickiest part is getting your hair to lay right around your face and across your forehead all the while trying to disguise the fact that you’re simply swooping your hair over your face and leaving it there.
Watch Judy’s short video above to see how she did it too {which is probably a better option if your hair is shorter}. And don’t forget to enter the contest included, for a chance to win $100. Sweepstakes rules | Prizes & Promotions page on Blogher.com

You know what I love most about this look? Besides how cute it is, obviously 😉 It’s a fantastic disguise for dark roots! AND… would be cute with an entire scarf wrapped around all of my hair and tied at the nape of my neck.
Here’s What I used…

* Jumbo bobby pins, small bobby pins, Goody Spin Pin, silk scarf {fold into a triangle, then fold continuously from the point in, until it’s about an inch and a half wide, or to your liking}
Here’s How I Did It…

Voila… Voila!

p.s. …. Love the silk scarf, too! I have a similar one in green, but I like the color combo better on yours. I’ll start looking for one similar to yours tomorrow!
