What I’m Wearing
* Yes, it’s my black Contempo Casuals maxi dress again {pretty sure I’ve had this polyester number since I was 19 years old and it still rocks my world} …last seen here
* Victoria’s Secret open cardigan
* Vintage gold and brass chains + vintage blue stone necklace from AlisonPurple
* Various vintage and new bangles and double wrap chain & turquoise leather bracelet by Jurate courtesy of SpoilmeFashion …the little tassel is my favorite part. NOTE: This fab bracelet comes in a multitude of colors and is ON SALE at the moment …and what’s better is that any of my lovely readers who purchase one today will also get a Samantha House pendant absolutely free!
* Amrita Singh Napeague Turquoise Earrings …from GILT
* DVF Kourion Gladiator Sandal
* Tom Ford cat eye sunglasses …they keep on keepin’ on, they do
* Louis Vuitton Azur Noe bag …seeing her last days very soon
* Title: lyrics from Aldo Nova “Fantasy” : 5 words: wait for it : HEAD TO TOE LEOPARD SUIT oh & laser guitars …doesn’t get much better than this really.
I think that last weekend’s BlogHer extravaganza trip to Sand Diego has got me kind of feeling like I’d like to be out and about more, which is a strange concept for me really because I’ve become such a homebody in my old age 😉 But I did find myself a bit restless over the weekend, itching to go somewhere and do something fun. I suppose it’s time to start responding YES to some of the amazing invites I get before my anti-socialness returns!
Speaking of BlogHer, click here to see what’s new in the Style Section and find some great advice at Life Well Lived!

…& though it may LOOK like I’m peeing in the bushes, I am, in fact, NOT.
I’m OBVIOUSLY pondering life 😉
Nadine
Gorgeous photos – love the outfit and the lavender/bougainvillea/location in general.

I think it’s great to say Yes to things you wouldn’t normally and take advantage of your social self whilst it’s active 🙂
p.s Still being new to this blog I’m having a serious love affair with your hair haha You own this look!

Yes yes, get yourself out there. 🙂 I force myself to go to things I dread and always am glad when I get there. You meet interesting new people, things open up – DO EET.

What will you be doing with the purse? Would you be willing to sell it? For how much? Love the outfit, it looks so comfortable! Which is important to me b/c I am a stay-at-home mom of two, and I have to dress stylish but comfortable these days.
Amanda Blair
I love that you keep dresses like this and make them current. You are so good at doing that- making something that was a past season/decade and making them look very now. I wish I had the same talent!
Pop Champagne
pretty outfit! I’m so addicted to your blog and yeea to your previous post I do notice that fashion bloggers tend to dress the same/certain way! 😀

Really? No one else has pointed out that this is also the (re-mixed) theme song to Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory? As soon as it came up in my Blogger reader I pictured that shows intro. It’s a guilty pleasure for me and the hubby.

Aldo Nova, head to toe leopard outfit,
born and raised in Montreal,which has the most stylish men in North America!
I am a bit biased as my son lives there and the shopping for both men and women is to die for.
Love your earrings Maegan.

First of all, bougainvillea is my favorite flowering plant, especially in the fuchsia color, and 2nd, I just love what style a classic, comfortable black dress brings to the world!
Then, how you paired it with such lovely jewelry and pops of turquoise it just bursting with sophistication! Love it and your handbag!
Also, thank you for bringing the words Contempo Casual back into my life…I had forgotten about that store, which I used to frequent in middle and high school…good times! 🙂
Liesl 🙂

All your photos are amazing but these are so summery and happy. Love them. I Love the flowers as well! Too bad our Chicago climate does not allow these beautiful pink babies to thrive here.
Hope you are doing fantastic!
