Mountain Life | Lou Eddie’s Pizza in Skyforest

Lou Eddies Pizza Lake Arrowhead-1

Last week the husband and I did a little exploring and found an amazingly quaint pizza place in Skyforest called Lou Eddie’s {just on the rim of the mountain, above where we live in Lake Arrowhead about 10 minutes away} and even though we must have passed it numerous times, hadn’t notice it until this fine day.

They make artisan pizza’s, gourmet salads, and desserts and not only is it an adorable place to eat, the food is fantastic to boot. In the evenings, when they get really busy, there’s an extra “tavern” downstairs that looks like a movie set.

It’s set above Willow Woods Park, which is so cute I can’t even stand it, and when I mentioned to the host that it would be perfect for small weddings, she said that’s what it’s for! They even have bridal suites for the bride/groom. Since it’s winter though, and we’re having an exceptionally dry season anyway, most of the lush greenery is dormant at the moment, but in Spring this place must look like a fairytale.

The decor was a perfect mix of cabin on the outside with a modern rustic feel on the inside that offered surprisingly authentic food. The light fixtures, made from vintage grape picking metal baskets, were to die for, casting pretty shadows all over the ceiling… even the music playing in the background, something from the ’80s if I recall, was the perfect soundtrack for our lunch break.

We ordered at the counter and watched for a moment as this chef made a chocolate cookie dough dessert pizza then we eventually traveled down the cute brick stairs outside for a pseudo picnic in the park.

I really LOVE the light fixtures…

We ordered the house green salad {which I LOVED!}, the Caesar salad {little bowls} & the White Out pizza. They also offer gluten-free crusts!

This is where we sat and ate outside…
