Thanksgiving Tables & Fall Tablescape Inspiration

As creative as I {think} I am in most of my endeavors, holiday Tablescapes aren’t my forte. It’s not that I can’t pull them together, or that I’m unhappy with them when I do, but I put a ridiculous amount of thought into them before beginning, and they seem to take more time {before and during} than most other projects I embark upon. I’m not really sure why or where the pressure comes from but it’s always there and I drag my feet when I shouldn’t.

Working on an upcoming post which includes my Thanksgiving tablescape and to meet a Monday deadline, I found myself in a perpetual state of “uhhhhhhh” and “What should I do? Where do I start?” all weekend long and even a few days prior. I’ve been pacing around the dining room, pulling items I may want to use for the table, and beginning with the details rather than rolling my sleeves up and just doing it… and it’s this way every year, with each holiday.

By Sunday afternoon, with the pressure mounting, I found myself sitting at my dining room table working on my laptop, with a table runner folded up at the end, pumpkins scattered and one possible plate setting idea… looking for more inspiration on Pinterest, when really I had everything I needed.

So while I procrastinate a little more, here are a few of my favorite Thanksgiving tablescapes this year in addition to the great Rustic Tartan Tablescape I posted last week… maybe they’ll inspired both you and me.

Jewel Toned Thanksgiving Table
I LOVE the casual/messy and rich jewel tones of this table from 10 Beautiful Thanksgiving Tablescapes via Liz Marie… paired with the lush leaves and rustic/industrial backdrop. It feels warm and inviting but totally chic and a little quirky.

Not always sure what to do with the napkins, I like the simplicity of this Summer Table Top via Art de Fete as well as the simple folded napkins placed diagonally on each place setting.

I love the idea of using fruit with its natural rich and warm hues as the centerpiece as well as the matching floral accents, easy burlap liner and heavy pottery as in this French Inspired Table Setting also by Art de Fete.

Fall-Tablescape-2
Fall-Tablescape1
This Fall Tablescape via Homey Oh My!, with its stark whites, bright florals, and DIY copper accents is so cheery and refreshing and completely opposite of what I usually think of for Thanksgiving, that it feels modern and new and I just love it.

Faded greens thanksgiving tablescape
These bumpy faded green pumpkins are my favorite this year and I love the use of them in this Enchanted Autumn table setting via The White Buffalo Styling Co. along with the clever use of the tree stumps as charger plates under the place settings for a cozy, rustic feel.

rustic wood table runner
This traditional table setting is nice and simple and I love the silver wear pockets created with the napkins {which also keeps you from having to remember which utensil goes wear}. I also love the metallics used as an accent because they really makes the neutrals pop atop the DIY Rustic Wood Table Runner via Blooming Homestead.

Outdoor-Patio-Thanksgiving-Dinner-Table
There’s something really inviting and warm about this Outdoor Thanksgiving Tablescape via Yellow Bliss Road, lined with pumpkins and corn that makes me just want to sit right down and enjoy.

Cheers!

cheers on Thanksgiving
I love the fresh greenery beneath the happy toasting arms and glasses, a feature I’d love to include in my table this year.

I know it’s a bit early but have you set your Fall or Thanksgiving table yet? What are your favorite colors and elements to include?
