The BirthdayThe Watchmen & The Outfit

Floral/Butterfly dress: Aqua
Black leggings: Forever 21
Leather Jacket: ?
Boots: old ~ White Mountain {most comfortable choice but would have rather gone with my motorcycle boots}
Earrings: ALdo
Sunnies: Chanel
Where: Lovely bathroom shot at the Universal Hilton

At the last minute my brother and our friend Timmy came with us to catch the Imax viewing of Watchmen and while both my husband and Timmy LOVED the movie I only thought it was just okay.

I remember in the middle of it thinking “well, it’s not BAD …but is it good?” and I still cannot honestly think of a better way to describe it. Visually, it was stunning, spectacular, gorgeous but . . .that was it …for me, anyway. I think I even fell asleep a couple of times during the 2 hour and 45 drawn out minutes of it. For a movie THAT long, I’d prefer the comfort of my own couch and living room …but maybe that’s with all movies.

I think it’s safe to say that this is more a “Guy’s” movie …but again, it wasn’t bad, I just don’t know why it was good{?}.

After the movie we made our way through City Walk and I found the most amazing sock store and spent a small fortune on socks and tights and sexy thigh highs which made up for the 2:45 minutes of wasted time :). My bro took off and the three of us went to Sushi for dinner …where we proceeded to drink three bottles of sake and two large Saporos. I’m going to be honest and say that I was DA-RUNK! More intoxicated than I have been in a long while actually, but it was really fun and actually felt like we were on vacation and not in North Hollywood {10minutes from our condo in Sherman Oaks}.

Since the night was still young and City Walk was getting quiet, we walked around and found a little bowling alley that was pretty much empty {just like I like it!} and had such a fun time bowling in our own private booth …drinks-a-plenty!

This morning when I woke up I couldn’t remember when or where we left Timmy last night …but by the time we got home our dogs had been walked and fed and I’m guessing spent the night cuddling with him in our bed while we were passed out in the hotel room {after trying to make some babies, of course}.

Sounds like a fun time was had by all! I definitely prefer movies from the comfort of my own home. I am way too easily distracted and jittery to sit in a theater….ummmm…YAY for drunken bowling! Love the jacket btw!

I went bowling before I went to see the watchmen as well, I lost though. Well… I lost half on purpose so my boyfriend could keep his title of bowling champion.
I agree with you about the watchmen, too long and I just didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought and hoped I would.

Absolutely LOVING the outfit! And I don’t think I would have appreciated Watchmen as much as I did if I hadn’t read the book. Still, I don’t know if I actually thought it was good either; just pretty true to the book, which was good. Anyway, glad you had fun bowling. Looks like it was a blast!

I am looking forward to your pg blogs, when that happens! I’m sure your take on all that comes with that will be quite the good read. (Not sure how long you guys have been trying but I got my little guy through fertility acupuncture… sounds wild, but it works!)

great outifit!! Love florals and black 🙂

I loved the Watchmen, but it may have been because I read the book first and knew the characters. My boyfriend’s been looking forward to it for years so I caught on. I can see how it might be overhyped to some though. But I just love those kinds of movies 🙂

I’ve been on vacation and mostly blogging and running so I haven’t had time to catch up with my favorite blogs like yours! I’ve been missing out…so now I can’t sleep and here I am…
I love this outfit and don’t think it’s boring at all. Something we need something a little simple and it’s just perfect. So…the socks would have been fab but without them it’s…fabber? 🙂
loves it. and, ps, hope it was a wonderful bday for yoour hubby. xx

TOTALLY agree with you on The Watchmen. Didn’t love it like I thought I would. I didn’t not like, but I didn’t like it that much.

    Does that make any sense…?

I felt exactly the same way. Yeah, it’s not bad, but did I like it? idk. I think it’s a dude’s thing.
