Jem and the Holograms was LEGIT my FAVORITE show when I was a kid. Beyond the amazing story and plot lines 😉 and their ultra-cool style, this was the only cartoon where the characters CHANGED THEIR CLOTHES on a regular basis and I remember how happy this made me as a kid.
To this day though, Jem is my girl, I mean obvi, and even just recently I found my old Jem t-shirt from the early 2000’s and wore it again… but now that the new Jem and the Holograms movie is out, all the Jem buzz is BACK and I’m loving it! I was so excited to see the Shopbop/Jem Collab at the beginning of the month.
Watch the Jem and the Holograms (2015) Movie Trailer below…
With Halloween this weekend, being Jem and/or one of the Holograms, would be truly, truly, outrageous! It’s as simple as pulling together bright and bold 80S clothes, maybe some neon dresses and fab glitter pumps and boom, you’re done! There’s even a fun Jem and the Holograms Makeup Tutorial and Costume Guide you can follow to get the look right!
But wait, THERE’S A GIVEAWAY!
5 Winners will be selected at random to each receive a $50 Shopbop Giftcard CODE to shop the Jem and the Holograms collection and/or the Shopbop boutique entirely… WOO!
Giveaway open to US & International through November 5, 2015.

I LOVED Jem, the Holograms, and the Misfits. I had all the dolls except for Shana because she was impossible to find in my small town in the 80s. For some reason I kept all the Jem dolls at my grandparents’ house and my Barbies at home–they never intermingled haha. I recently came across pictures I had taken of my Jem dolls “performing” on the floor of my grandparents’ kitchen. 😀
