* Title: Bananarama – Cruel Summer… It’s a cruel, cruel summer… leaving me here on my own… this heat has got right out of hand… It’s too hot to handle… So I got to get up and go
It’s been a super busy work week but I’m so happy to have all my work done and get a little time in the sun today… FINALLY! Well, hopefully, it is already 1pm, isn’t it…
It’s still Summer though, right? Ugh. The last month or so I feel like I’ve been in a bit of a fog, and as soon as I feel like I’m emerging from it, there’s a new layer to wade through. Life hasn’t felt this challenging emotionally for a very long time, but I have to hope that there’s more to it than what’s happening “right now”, I have to believe it’s the thing that will propel me into the next phase, which I can only hope is more wonderful than now… more wonderful than anything I’ve ever experienced, because I’m one who believes the best is yet to come, always. As long as I don’t cling to any expectations, which is mighty challenging {and sometimes I don’t even know I’m doing it BUT…} it’s the motivation I need sometimes to stay positive through the emotions that are weighing me down.
The nearby fires are terrifying, to say the least. I have friends working hard trying to put them out, and I worry about them in the thick of the smoke. I’m sad for those who have lost their houses and belongings, and worry that if we don’t have an insanely wet winter, this entire state will go up in smoke. It’s just one of those things adding to the list of stressors at the moment and it’s time for some really great, positive energy to come this way. I guess I’m waiting for a sign that all will be well, but that, in and of itself, is an expectation… because the longer I don’t get it, the more I worry.
I feel like a downer today… apologies. I’m working on raising my spirits 🙂
