I found Nicolaus Ferry on Instagram, where I find so many wonderful artists these days, and was immediately struck by the beauty of his work. His butterfly sketches are my favorite, and the paintings a close second, though all of his works are incredible. His pencil work is so subtle and soft and so lifelike and with the colorful 3D petals and butterflies ready to flutter off of the paper, I find myself just staring, waiting for them to do so.
