Running from My Old Ways, the Old Days, It Was Dust & Dreams

What I’m Wearing…

* Vintage navy v-neck sweater from the ’70s – last seen here in my closet at Le Dome (I thrifted this over 20 years ago and am still blown away when I say things like that because WTF!?!? HOW!?!?!?
* AGOLDE jeans – still faves, although they’re a bit looser now than they were and I don’t like how they hang so low or the tapered ankle… I LIKE this longer pair as well. This brands has a comfy fit.
* Army green bomber jacket
* Navy Adidas
* Marc Jacobs bag

* Title: Kane Brown, H.E.R. – Blessed & Free – as long as I’m alive, I’m free

This is what I wore to my pottery class but I had so many photos there already that I just figured I’d share these separately… although, like so many of my recent outfits, it feels a bit boring. I just honestly haven’t fully stepped into my new style identity yet, which is sometimes concerning and sometimes I can’t be bothered by it and literally do not care. On the other hand, it’s so fun to actually get dressed up and I have time to do so at this point, but not too many places to go in said outfits, which is fine too. I could just get dressed for the fun of it, but then the effort required looms in my mind and I get lazy… the question is why? Why don’t I want to? …because in the past when my effort was low, it was usually due to some underlying mental situation, like depression or feeling a little outside of myself or not “in” my body, which may be the case now as well… OR I’m just simply not quite there yet and in time, I will get there.

I try to remind myself quite frequently that I have stepped into an entirely new life and things take time, truly they do, and I have started so many new things this year AND in the last few months since I moved to a new house in a new city, it’s felt like a whirlwind. It’s been just three months and I feel pretty settled here with very little urge to fall into missing Lake Arrowhead, but I do sometimes fall back into fantasizing and romanticizing a past… but only when I feel uncertain about my future I guess.
