This was over two months ago… Cinco de Mayo, to be exact, when it was still chilly enough for a sweatshirt. It’s been so warm and just downright hot lately, but I’m not complaining, I love the weather and find myself worrying it won’t be warm for long enough and that fall and winter are right around the corner with layers upon layers of winter clothing covering my body.
Is it me or is this year FLYING by? Do we say this every year? Probably, but it feels like we’re living in warp speed right now. How is it already July?
This year has been a wild ride already… I’d like it to slow down just a little and clarify itself, I think we’ve all had enough uncertainty and fear to last a lifetime. We’re ready for stability, routine, consistency and balance… or again, is it just me?
Things feel up in the air, chaotic, unfinished and unresolved. What is the “new normal” or should we just give up trying to find what once was and move towards a life unknown?
It feels difficult to find safety and sanity in these moments, and as soon as I think I’ve got it figured out, the winds change and I learn that I know nothing at all. Up and down, down and up. I’m ready to get off the roller coaster and coast safely at a nice speed, with just a little breeze to ease the temps.
No more windy storms. No more reaction, just smooth sailing from here on out.
