After painting my nails the other day in this bright summery orangey peach color {which definitely appears more vibrant in reality, even though the photos make it look like it’s close to my actual skin tone or a coral red} then grabbed a bottle of white polish and my nail art dotting tool as well as a fine brush to get busy on some nail art designs.
And then sitting on my counter was this Nail Rockit which also came with iridescent foils, silver leafing, tiny white beads, as well as the white glitter filled tube at the end of the polish pen, which I’ve been meaning to try for months now. But what caught my eye was the word “pen” on the polish and realized that in addition to a polish brush, it has a pen tip for easy nail art-ing and I was excited to try it!
And let me just say, while I love my fun nail art brushes and dotting tools, this pen was 100 times easier and quicker than the dipping/dotting technique and I am 100% hooked. Of course it’s not a new invention, it’s just not one that I’ve tried since I had all the other tools, but it’s so much easier to get fun nail art designs when you have a perfectly good tip filled with paint polish to work with.
This was my first time, so I was a bit shakey, and of course my left hand looked better than my right, but having tried it now I want nail pens in every color.
Here’s What I Used…
* Summery polish base. I used L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nail in “Orange You Jealous”
* White Nail RockIt Pen {find similar nail art pen here}
* Seche Vite top coat
Here’s How You Do It…
So easy!
* First give yourself a bright and cheery two-coat mani and let dry.
* Simply {tap off any extra polish if your pen is drippy} and apply! It’s so easy.
* Let dry and finish with your favorite top coat.
