What I’m Wearing…
* Heavy wool maxi skirt is vintage… my mom made it for herself 100 years ago {okay, maybe more like 40}… the hem has fallen out over the years but I like it this way. See how I wore it here as well
* Cream grandad sweater from Asos {see it in blue here}
* Soft pink blouse by Zoe & Sam from GILT also seen here and here with gray
* Vintage flesh toned belt with gold clasp
* Forever 21 Sunglasses from ages ago, Bebe knit hat
* Vintage gold dangly earrings, gold branch bracelets, Tiffany pendant necklace
* Blush suede ankle boots by Sam Edelman… these are my favorites lately. Comfy for all day.
* Title: Kendrick Lamar – Poetic Justice ft. Drake
* Hair: major afro curls… this was my afro best yet. I’m going to update this hair tutorial because my old one is sort of half-assed.
I mean, I’m so in love with my hair like this, I wish it was naturally this curly. Though usually we want the opposite of what we have and I’d probably long for straight hair. What’s crazy about these no heat curls is that they almost damage my hair more than when I use heat styling tools, which sounds crazy, but is true. You can go a few days with this style because the oils from your scalp don’t penetrate the hairs and make it look dirty, which is good fun! However, you can’t brush these curls, though you can use a pick, but they start to get really tangled and begin to dread soon after. After I finally washed it, I spent a good 40minutes combing out the tangles. It wasn’t fun. But totally worth it.
I love light neutrals in the snow… it’s sort of camouflage in this environment.
Happy Hump Day!
