Swapping out boots on my Tide shoot.
I signed on with Crocs last Spring {remember the CUTE lobster print loafers?!}, months before I knew we’d be moving to a snowy/real winter climate come December. And I can’t tell you what a savior their winter boots have been to the husband and I, throughout some of the coldest days we’ve ever experienced.
I’m not kidding when I say, that’s all we’ve worn for three months straight. And in fact, Crocs are the only shoes my husband ever wears anymore {the hover slip ons}. Occasionally, in between snow days, the sun would melt away the winter ice and I’d get a few days in shoes that weren’t specifically made for the snow, but those days were rare. And even though I didn’t photograph every outfit every day, if I was heading out into the snow, {or any weathery conditions}, I was wearing a pair of my Crocs boots.
I’m excited for their new Spring styles to emerge but I thought I’d do a little recap on a few of my favorite winter outfits wearing my Crocs.
Do you know what I love most about these Crocs Wellie rain boots? They’re REALLY LIGHT WEIGHT and so comfortable. But they’re not lined and are better suited for the rain than the snow, as I learned that day when my toes became frosty! {Buy Wellie Rain Boots here $64}
The Crocs duck boots were and are still my favorites! {husband wore the men’s version {sale $48} all winter as well. Sadly, the women’s boot is sold out} Not only are they warm, they’re light and also have support. I have a bad ankle and when I wear crocs shoes and boots, IT DOESN’T HURT. And it’s kind of amazing. {I pull on rubber traction coils for extra anti-slip-on-the-ice support} Also, I think they’re the cutest!
I found these fun Crocs high top leather sneakers in the men’s section and just love them. Again, they’re super light-weight and comfortable and actually not really for the snow, but the days I wore them were after the snow had melted on the main roads, and paired them with scrunch socks, of course. {sold out sadly. but there’s a low top version here on sale for $39.99}
These white Croc snow boots are so much cuter in person than they look online, and I just love them in white. However, I really was worried about getting them dirty, but I got over it quickly, especially since the snow just brushed right off of them. {Women’s Crocband™ II.5 Winter Boot on sale for $39.99}
** Though I didn’t capture an outfit post in these, I have the Berryessa Tall Suede Boots in gray and LOVE THEM. They are so comfy and soft inside. Not as great for the snow {mostly because I didn’t want to get them dirty} but great for the cold season… and seriously, comfy. {on sale now for $59.99}
Our boots drying in the mud room…
I did not set this up for a photo, this is exactly what our mud room shoe shelves look like, complete with slip on crocs underneath, seemingly catching all the dirt & snow from the boots above, lol.
If any of these styles are left in your size, you should stock up now! A. Because the sale prices are delicious! and B. Because they may not be back next season!
I’m just hoping they reBOOT some of these styles for next Winter 😉 ahem, the Duck Boot because I need more! And black on black like the men’s slip on duck boot would be a cute option as well.
Happy Spring!
