What I’m Wearing…
* Lee Vintage Modern green Corduroy coveralls (I size up in these. Wearing a Medium) they have a little bit of stretch – I also have the lighter army green unionalls in the same size AND NOW I WANT THE PINK UNIONALLS to match my skates ๐
* Old light pink turtleneck
* Furry beanie
* Barton Perreira sunglasses
* Moxi Lolly (outdoor completes) roller skates in Strawberry
* Title: The Beatles – Strawberry Fields Forever – The color of these skates is Strawberry ๐
The tracking on my skates said they weren’t arriving until Saturday but I went to the post office anyway because Michelle got hers earlier in the day. And low and behold, MY SKATES WERE THERE!
I have to say that Fritzy’s Skate Shop is pretty incredible. They’re very personable, do all the skate adjustments before shipping them out and ship really fast. We ordered on Monday, when probably around 300 or more people ordered at the same time (they still have a few sizes in a few colors left in the Moxy Lolly -the skates I’m wearing here- mostly larger sizes, 9-10s – UPDATE I JUST HEARD THEY’RE DROPPING MORE TODAY!) and have a very small crew of just a few people managing all this and STILL, I received my skates on Thursday. Also note, they have Moxi Beach Bunny’s available and tons of other brands available as well. I bought Chad a pair of Chaya’s for Valentine’s Day, which I think are pretty cute.
Meanwhile, I’m still waiting for my Moonlight Rollers, which I ordered two weeks ago and my BTFL’s from amazon, which I ordered about a week ago… and they may have issues with inventory at the moment, but still, I’m pretty impressed with Fritzy’s and they have great live’s on their instagram about skates and tools and just stuff you need to know, if you’re interested.
ANYWAY… all this is to say that my skates arrived yesterday and I couldn’t be happier! They are SUCH A DIFFERENT FEEL AND FIT from my Chicago’s (see my full roller skate post here) and I might end up doing a video on all the skates, I’m not sure yet, but I just HAD to try these out yesterday when I got them.
Michelle was tied up so I asked my mom if she wanted to head over to the park to check out the new tennis courts there and see if they’re skateable. Even though it was FREEZING, it was worth it. We caught a pretty little sunset and got to see the courts, which are not finished yet, sadly, but still kinda fun.
Even though I’m still getting a feel for the Moxi Lolly’s (different boot fit and larger, outdoor wheels) I had to document my first day skating on them, which you can see in this little video on my IG reels. The skates are just incredibly beautiful and fit perfectly and though I do feel my ankle a little more in these skates than in my Chicago’s, they’re a dream to skate on!
We’re also planning on getting the girls some little skates so Chad and I can go out with them and have a little fun. Hopefully we can make that happen tonight as their early Valentine’s Day present.
Happy Weekend Lovecats!
