Follow me on Instagram to see these in real time. Also, if you see any you like, they may be for sale at Instacanv.as. You can email me if you don’t see one that you like and I’ll make it available.
I went to the eye doctor to have my eyes checked and there were two display cases filled with adorably fabulous vintage eyeglasses. I loved looking through them and wondered if his patients had continually brought them in over time or if he {or someone} collected them from vintage shops.
I FINALLY got my hair done… and blonder is just better {for me anyway} I actually needed to go in about a month and a half before I did but then I got vertigo and had to wait. And then somewhere in the middle of it all {and this happens often} I start thinking I like my darker hair… and then I was in the sun so much that it started lightening itself like it did during summers when I was kid… and then I realized that some of the highlights weren’t actually blonde, that they were gray 🙂 And then once I had lightness all around my face again, my mood suddenly felt lifted with my hair color. So note to self: you feel better when your hair is lighter. I can’t ignore that fact.
Though his eye is open, he is, in fact, asleep… in my hand. Oh LeRoy.
Gave myself a little coral pedicure the other day with a stripe of gold glitter on my big toes {also see Slim Aarons: Once Upon A Time book, vintage brass Frenchie figurine, fugly toes and old daisy toe tattoo, a sure sign of the 90’s}
A family friend {who has known the husband since he was a kid – and the same friend who taught us how to make amazing homemade meatballs and sauce a few weeks ago, which I will hopefully get a chance to post soon} is up all week working on little and not so little projects on the house… a not so little project he’s doing now is landscape lighting and spotlights on the tall trees in our yard. I took this as we were waiting for night to fall to test out the lights. He’s finishing it up now but we got to see it last night.. And it’s so pretty! It’s really pitch black up here at night, so to be able to see the property makes me less afraid of going outside at night once it’s dark. I know that sounds crazy, but we’re in the mountains, yo. There’s real wildlife here, lol. And bats. SO MANY BATS!
I worked on a little DIY project of my own last night… not sure if it will make it up tomorrow or maybe Wednesday. But this week!
I’ve had a bit of eye strain from staring at too many screens lately, so my phone and Instagram were the first to get the boot. It was a nice break, to be honest, but it resulted in far fewer photos this week.
