I LOVED the fun Brigitte Bardot inspired look my Glam Squad created for me to wear to The People’s Choice Awards last week with Walgreens… mostly because it was a sort of AMPED UP version of my normal go-to smokey eye and fleshy lip, but also because it made me feel fabulous.
No matter the style, if you feel like “you” then you’ll also feel most comfortable in your skin and able to be your best self wherever you are.
When it comes to makeup and beauty products, I simply use what I love and continue buying products that work for me. In the way that I collect my wardrobe and style my home, I love a mix of high-end and affordably priced items to work together and create a unique look and feeling that is all my own. My attitude toward beauty products is exactly the same. My makeup drawer is filled with brands that work for me.
And when I get to work with a brand that I already love, like CoverGirl, I’m that much more excited. For years I’ve been using CoverGirl Perfect Blend Eyeliner Pencils with the smudge stick on the opposite end. They are HANDS DOWN my favorite for a smokey eye, daytime or night, and considering a smokey eye is my signature look, it’s the only eyeliner I really use. I’ve also been using the CoverGirl Eye Shadow Quads for about a year now after reviewing them early 2015 {700 “notice me nudes” is my favorite palette} and I just picked up a new one at Walgreens since mine is nearly gone now.
After priming my skin and faking that perfectly smooth and glowing complexion with a great highlighter, my Glam Squad makeup artist, Abel, filled in my brows and gave me the perfect arch. Look how fierce they are!
With the CoverGirl shimmer nude eyeshadow palette, he created depth and dimension on my lids then followed it up with the Bardot-esque heavy eyeliner and false eyelashes.
My newest CoverGirl find that I’m already head over heels for is the Covergirl Jumbo lipPerfection gloss balm. It’s sort of in between a lipstick, a soothing balm, and a gloss, and IT IS PERFECTION. I’m not kidding, I love it, and it comes in a ton of rad colors.
Abel agreed that it was his favorite as well and that he had swapped out all of his other lippies for it! They’re smooth, and don’t get all clumpy and dry like lipstick but go on thicker than a gloss without all the shine and last forever.

It was super easy to recreate my Bardot inspired look my Glam Squad gave me using all the CoverGirl products I already have at home and love. I skipped the false eyelashes and went a little lighter on the eyeliner for daytime but felt as fabulous as I did the night of The People’s Choice Awards… well, ALMOST 😉
