I’ve had this vintage polyester ’70s dress for so long now, it’s like double vintage. Like, if it was brand new when I bought it, it would be vintage now, lol. WOW. I honestly can’t believe I don’t have one old post where I’m wearing it here on the blog, though. I know I haven’t worn it in ages… I’m thinking ’70s hasn’t really been trending in the years I’ve been blogging in the way it was prior to my fashion blogging {which began in late 2008}.
Admittedly, the boots feel a LITTLE bit heavy for it in the photos, but in real life, they weren’t so much of the focal point. I normally wear flat sandals, 70s platforms, or even little sneakers with it, but it’s still a bit chilly for sandals. This dress actually came with a tie belt in the matching thick polyester fabric, and I still have it, but I’ve also worn it with every other belt hanging in my closet. What I love the most about the dress is that I can belt it at my waist and wear it long, belt it at my waist and wear it short, belt it around my hips and wear it either way as well, or wear it without a belt at all. It’s the most versatile and flattering dress in my closet. The only reason I don’t wear it more is that it has a strong ’70s vibe and though it’s a classic trend now, it’s not always the most modern. But ’70s are huge again, YAY, and so out comes all my classic ’70s stuff.
I love the new trends that come with old trends though… that’s the fun and creative part for me, creating new looks from old looks and even older looks.
