I hope you love these Sunday House Crush posts as much as I do. Occasionally I veer away from my local area, but not often, so I hope they don’t bore you. There are just so many homes available up here in Lake Arrowhead that are amazing and I love when I see a pending sale on one of the homes I’ve featured. Not that I can say I had anything to do with it, but I only hope that through my love of this mountain town, more amazing people will also see the beauty up here and maybe find not only a home they love but a life they love too. I’ve said it a hundred times, but it is truly magical up here, especially if you work from home or don’t have to necessarily drive up and down the mountain on a daily basis, though I’ve spoken to many people who do and don’t even mind it.
Anyway… the living room in this house sold me 100% It was mostly the library, if I’m being honest. And to call it a library is pushing it because really, it’s more of a built-in with shelves that happens to be full of books but the ladder ultimately reads “library” – pun intended 😉
I have to say though, I’m not usually a fan of the rounded rock stone fireplaces. They just feel “fake” or something, almost giving me the feeling of being at Disneyland -but still, I don’t even mind it in this space. It almost adds to the playfulness. I love the arched windows rather than the pointed ones you normally see up here, the high ceilings and the bright feeling the entire home has as well and I love the open floor plan.
But mostly it’s the feeling I get when I look at this home’s interior and really, that’s what determines most everything we desire in life… the “things” we think we want are just a means to the feeling we receive when we get them. If we can find a home we can always “feel” good in, then that’s more important than the “things” that fill the home.
