I LOVE this house. Well mostly, I LOVE THIS KITCHEN.
NO, mostly, I love the whole house. But I especially LOVE the kitchen.
And I have to say that of all the homes I’ve found, it’s rare to find one updated and decorated up here in a way that doesn’t make me cringe! Maybe it’s because many are second homes and were decorated years and years ago or never really decorated since they were only visited a few times a year? I dunno… But STILL! The houses up here are SO CUTE and have so much potential to be fabulous, I want to go and decorate them all! I have this feeling though that more and more people are buying and moving up here and renovating, (currently, a well-known design blogger in particular, though she hasn’t mentioned this area so I’m not going to give her whereabouts away, but the “mountain home” she’s renovating right now is up here 😉 just sayin’)
Anyway, I ADORE this home. I love how light and fresh and airy it feels. I love the rustic-modern vibe that still says Hey I’m at the lake in the mountains, without being a full log cabin. Anyway, if I had an extra MIL to drop right now, I’d buy this, but I’m still saving up for the Peninsula Estate on Robin Hood Lane 😉 so this one will have to wait.
