I don’t know about you but I am constantly on the hunt for the perfect black handbag. Sometimes I find one that will make do, but I’m never ever completely satisfied with it. I’m not sure what it is but I know I’m not alone. I have heard the handbag search compared to finding the perfect partner in life — and admittedly, there is some logic to it. As it goes with relationships, there are some things I suppose you just have to compromise on & when you can’t afford THE perfect black bag; the Hermes “Birkin”.
So until then… here are a few bags I’m drooling over. Some are pseudo-affordable, some are in between and some are absolutely not even close, but maybe one will end up on my arm in the near future or maybe the hunt will continue…

With black bags, I tend to lean towards classic shapes, that I can keep in my closet and in rotation for years to come. Too much hardware or specific shapes will date a bag. I also tend to splurge a bit more on a classic bag than a trendier style so as to ensure longevity and style.
