I’m not sure why I’m obsessed with decorating skulls this year, but I just love it. My Embellished Pirate Treasure Skull DIY was far more intricate and time consuming than these flower adorned skulls, but I love them just the same.
Needless to say, there’s no real need for a full tutorial because really, you just glue on flowers wherever you want, but for post purposes, I kind of have to include a little bit of info, so…
Here’s What You Need…
* Decorative Halloween Skulls
* Faux flowers of choice
* Hot glue gun
My silver skull head is from ZGallerie and my bone colored skull is part of a bag full skeleton bones set I got a few years ago… I’ve used it in the fireplace, in the tub, stuffed in a large vase, and in the yard posed next to tombstones, and it never fails to spook!
DIY Floral Crown Skull…
Remove flowers and leaves from their stems. Most of the time you can just pop them right off, but sometimes you’ll need wire cutters.
Beginning with your largest flowers, decide where you want to place them beforehand, apply a good amount of hot glue on the stems or bases, set them in place and hold them down for a few seconds until your glue cools and dries.
Continue around the skull with your large flowers, fill in the spaces with smaller flowers and leaves for a fuller effect.
Floral Eyes & Crown…
I wanted this one to be a little bit different, so I glued flowers into the eye sockets and around and created a thorny crown by twisting the wire leaves together until it fit around the skull.
And… Voila!
Happy Skulls!
Easy as 1-2-3!
Happy Halloween!
