Game-Changing Mascara! Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes Review

moodstruck 3d fiber mascara - best ever

About a month ago I got an email from Morgann at Glitter in the Gray, who is an independent presenter of Younique beauty products, asking if I’d like to try Younique’s 3D Fiber Lash Mascara. Since I’m terrified of beauty treatments that claim to make my lashes grow AND get anxious just thinking about how long I’d have to sit still to get lash extensions applied… but also as someone who has sad, sad little light brown eyelashes, jumped on the opportunity to test out this new beauty product.

Here’s what the product claims…

The Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes set is a new eyelash enhancing duo that provides a 300% increase in thickness and volume to your lashes while still looking completely real and natural.

Younique’s 3D Fiber Lash Mascara is…

  • Naturally based makeup, paraben-free, carcinogen-free, free of harmful chemicals, cruelty-free, & hypoallergenic.
  • $29 for a 2-3 month supply.
  • Safe for contact wearers, water resistant and EASY to remove with eye make up remover or face wash and water.

My Before…&…After Results!

Moodstruck 3d Fiber Mascara Review 1

1. I applied all my makeup as I normally would and curled my eyelashes with my precision curler.
2. I applied one coat of my regular mascara. As you can see, it amplified my light and straight lashes a bit, but doesn’t do much to really make my eyes pop out from my heavily hooded eyelids.
3. I applied a coat of the transplanting gel to one eye {which basically looks and feels like regular mascara}
4. Quickly, while the gel was still wet, I applied the fibers to my lashes lashes, brushing up and outwards from the base of my lashes {exactly how I applied my mascara}.
5. I instantly saw amazing results and finished with another light coat of the transplanting gel to seal in the fibers.

The above before/after documents my very FIRST try at application and while I did turn out AMAZING, I think with practice, it will get even better. It not only made my lashes thicker and more voluminous, but it made them longer as well. I could literally see them lengthening as I applied the fibers. It was amazing!

I need to invest in a little eyelash comb {or look through my old makeup supplies to find one} so that I can comb through the lashes a bit in the end, making them a bit less clumpy. But overall, I was totally surprised that this duo did exactly what it said it was going to do. I felt like I was wearing false eyelashes but without the mess of glue, application, and the overall fake look falsies give. This was so much better. By the end of the night, when I went to wash my face, I noticed little hairs/fibers on the tops of my cheekbones, but not any more mess that would have dropped from my regular mascara, and like I said, with practice, I think my application and lashes with look better and better.

My eyes were NOT irritated or itchy at all and other than making my lashes look so much better, nothing felt out of the ordinary while I had it on {like fake lashes make my lids feel heavy, and sometimes my set in lids get stuck on the glue as I blink}. Nothing out of the ordinary – like I was wearing regular mascara. I simply washed my face at the end of the night with my regular soap and warm water… I had to rub a bit more than usual to get it all off, but that was it. I am 100% sold. I love it.
