When LeRoy passed on, our sweet neighbors gave us this apple tree to honor him without even knowing that apples were his favorite. It sat in a large blue pot by our front door, bloomed in spring, and reminded me of LeRoy every time I passed it. I decided to plant it now so that it would bloom in Spring and sprinkled some of LeRoy’s ashes into the soil. It was a really difficult moment, but also felt light in a strange way. I can’t wait to see it bloom next year. It will remind me of LeRoy forever.

Oh Randy… #TBT puppyhead. It’s so funny as we watch these boys grow and change. To me, Randy has kept his puppy face {like LeRoy did}, but it’s just gotten bigger whereas Trevor’s face now is completely different from his puppy face! I love watching these two brothers grow and change and watch their similarities and differences on a daily basis. I’m not sure why we find it so enthralling that they’re so different being from the same litter… it’s truly a new doggie/pet experience we’ve never seen before and that’s exactly why we chose to get two after LeRoy left us.

These sillyheads… they make me smile and laugh every single day! As hard as it was with LeRoy in the end, a life without pets is a life I’m not willing to lead. They make every day special.
