I’ve been wanting to bring back my Sunday House Crush posts lately but haven’t really found anything that has been knocking my socks off… UNTIL NOW.
This house/estate is officially called the Castle in the Forest, and while I have driven by it before, yesterday, as part of the Chamber of Commerce Lake Arrowhead House Tour, I got a look inside… And honestly, I haven’t stopped thinking about it ever since.
I sort of observe everything by the way it makes me feel… and generally (even by just looking at photos sometimes) I can tell right away if something is in my good energy field (makes me feel good) or not on my frequency (makes me feel bad) and this house was INCREDIBLE. Definitely good.
We toured 3 houses total (there were 4 on the tour but we missed one of them) and they were all really beautiful, but this castle in the woods was the one we were really the most excited about, and the main reason we joined the tour, and it did not disappoint. I got all the warm fuzzy feels immediately upon walking in the front door… It was just that kind of strange intuition that I belonged there, like it was built for me 😉
I wanted to move in and immediately and begin writing all the books and novels I’ve been pondering and thinking about writing for years. The creative energy was explosive! (I know that sounds weird, so I’ll just say it was dreamy… the way you felt an actual fairytale might feel and suddenly it all felt attainable)
All the fairytale feels…
We were only permitted to take photos of the exterior, and yes, I’m wearing the same dress as in my last outfit post, I told you I WEAR IT EVERYWHERE, but also, this was a month after the last post was shot, so that’s my disclaimer… AND I thought there weren’t any photos allowed, so I didn’t think twice about throwing it on again…
I pulled a few photos of the interior from their website and instagram, however, it’s decorated a bit differently now -and better, though it does seem unfinished in ways. But let me tell you. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. And we didn’t even get to see the entire house. There were rooms and stairwells and hallways and guest houses all blocked off.
* It’s hard to get a real feel for it, the photos do NOT do it justice. I want to go in there and shoot in every room, every nook and cranny of the space, it’s so beautiful.
This room was truly spectacular, and the first space you walk into after the entryway. The cathedral ceilings and custom windows are just incredible and the feeling you get upon walking in is that of a princess. I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to wake up and feel the energy of this home on a daily basis 🙂 #goals
Cue the ridiculously-happy-goofy smile – because really, that’s how I was feeling 🙂
* It’s available to rent for $3000 a night and for events and weddings as well. It sleeps up to 25 people.
Happy Sunday Lovecats!
