Oh I just adore this estate in Sky Forest. It’s closer to the rim of the mountain than to the lake (and sort of on the way to the castle house that I also adore), but still only about a five minute drive to the lake or under. I remember it well because my mom and I shot an outfit at a house just across the way from it… and I would have chosen this house but people were there renovating it at the time, but the exterior looked the same then as it does now… enchanting.
It’s rare to find a house with a lot of flat land in the mountains, and this one is perfection. It just gives me all the feels I want in a home. I love the sort of old villa vibe that transports me to another land and time. I love the stone walls inside and the pitched architectural rooflines in the some of the rooms. I believe there is a main house and a guest house on the lot and a ton of garage space. It’s a dream house for me, second to the house on Robin Hood Lane (my biggest house crush), which has its own private lake beach area and is about 8 million dollars more than this one. A girl can dream, right?
In other, more affordable house news, THIS little place, which also has stone interior walls just became available and we contemplated buying it to renovate… And then I thought… do we actually have the time to renovate a house right now? Not really. But this one has potential if we did.
