Based solely on the exterior, I would not call this house an oasis, and to be honest, those weren’t my words anyway, but stolen from the listing, however, I do find this home oddly appealing with its expansive modern spaces designed with an old European vibe that I’m just drooling over. It’s confusing to describe but my eyes find it very pleasing.
I’ve adored Spanish houses since the time I started loving houses. Some of the most beautiful houses in LA (where I grew up) are Spanish and I’ve always dreamed of living in one. This one, however, is in Santa Barbara (Montecito adjacent is my guess) and I stumbled upon it after sharing Gwyneth Paltrow’s home because immediately after, I searched Zillow to see what might be “affordable” in the area.
Turns out nothing is affordable in the area… for my budget, anyway, but obviously very affordable for whomever is buying this home. The listing now says “pending”, so someone’s got the 13mil on hand to pay for it… and that person is not me.
Anyway… I think my favorite part about this house (besides almost everything) is the kitchen. I love the richness of it. The dark walls and contemporary design that also somehow feels completely old world European. Or maybe I’m crazy and have no idea how to describe it. But I love it and that’s all that matters.

Description from the listing…
Chic architecture, soaring ceilings & an incredible indoor/outdoor flow combine to create the ultimate oasis. Newly completed in 2018 & with an effortlessly hip look and feel, this move-in-ready home lets you enjoy the best of Montecito on day one. The open floor plan is perfect for how we live today-public spaces are centrally located & flanked by two separate bd wings, ensuring privacy between the primary & guest suites. The spacious primary suite features dual closets & a gorgeous bath with a second al fresco shower. The line between indoor & outdoor living spaces dissipates as floor to ceiling pocket doors fade into the walls leading to a private garden filled with fountains & lush botanicals. Outside, an oversized studio offers flexible space for WFH, play, fitness or guests.
