*note the palm trees in my sunglasses – weee!
Since having my new camera & prime lens & God I don’t know why I didn’t get it sooner – and can’t figure out how to take my own outfit shots like I used to with my little powershot cameras, my bro has taken over as my full-time outfit photographer. The husband tried out for the position but my bro got the job. Hoooray! and, sorry brother! lol …but he’s so good that I’m having a really difficult time editing out photos because they’re all good. I know that sounds asshole of me because well, the photos are of me but I’m really not used to getting so many good ones. Usually, I’d take from 20-50 shots and would get maybe 10 good ones and have to edit down to 5 from there …but this!?!?!? So, apologies again for the photo overload!! Brother: I’m really thinking you should start offering your services to other fashion bloggers in LA – not that I want the competition but …just sayin’ 😉
ALSO: I finally remembered to line my lips prior to glossing {man I’m lazy} and obviously, it makes a huge difference.
What I’m Wearing
* J Brand “Houlihan’s” skinny cargos …I know I’ve just worn these recently but really it takes all of my strength not to wear them every single day. They are so comfy and versatile, I just love them. Also, if you click the link above, you’ll see the difference sun & some photography skills can make to your photos. Oh sunlight, I love you.
* Black sweater I snatched out of the husband’s closet
* Vintage black and ivory silk scarf …can’t remember where I got this actually. It may have been my Grandma’s
* Vintage black hat {tag says: Duchess Body Made in Italy – Bullock’s San Fernando Valley – Collegienne meaning schoolgirl I think – & what I thought originally was velvet is actually some sort of hair} …this was my Grandma’s. And oh how it made this rather boring outfit 10x’s more fabulous! And in wearing this hat, I realized how very much I need a few new hats in my life pronto!. In the early 2000’s I lived in hats, most specifically, my black canvas pageboy hat, which I still love because it’s great for casual-wear though it’s not really in style any more. The hat I’m wearing here is really a bit fancy for my casual, every day wear, so really I’m looking for a similar style in a felted variety/version. On the hunt: I’ve found one that I adore but it’s a bit more than I wanted to spend …especially because I want it in 3 colors …so, I’m working on it.
* Steve Madden studded wood platforms. I really have been wearing these a lot lately and didn’t suspect when I purchased them how fitting they would be really. I got them in blush as well but those will stay in the box til Spring me thinks.
* Cynthia Rowley burgundy bag …from a GILT sale
* Tom Ford cat eyes
* Title: lyrics from Heart “Barracuda” such an amazing song
…there are so many more, I may just post em up on Facebook.
