It wasn’t until I saw the photos on my computer that I realized that in this outfit I was channeling not only Candace Cameron from her Full House days as DJ but also a bit of Judith Light from her Who’s the Boss role as Angela. It’s one part thirteen year old from 1990 and one part adult woman from the very same year…. and that made me laugh {especially since I was about 13-14 in 1990}.
As much as you may hate the fact that Birkenstocks are fashionable again like my husband does {who thinks they look like hobbit feet} I can’t seem to wear anything else at the moment. I just think they suddenly look right with every outfit, lol. And omg THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE I could die. I had a green suede pair in the ’90s but my teenage feet didn’t care about comfort the way my late thirties feet do…. and that makes me and them happy. This white style is synthetic leather and a bit lighter than my black ones, which makes them even more comfortable… So yeah, I’m in love. They and the like have been suddenly labeled #normcore but really, they’re just another throwback to the ’70s and the ’90s that all just seems so perfectly fitting right now.
Happy Hump Day Lovecats!
