Studio DIY created this fun and festive DIY Fiesta Balloon Ceiling and it’s not only super simple, it’s SUPER ADORABLE and can really be recreated for any event fairly affordably. But for all intents and purposes, let’s go with the festive and colorful Cinco de Mayo theme since this fun holiday is right around the corner.
Here’s What You’ll Need…
- Latex Balloons in Various Colors
- Balloon Time Helium Tank
- Gold Ribbon
- Papel Picado
- Gold Fringe Garland
- Painter’s Tape
Steps…
Start by deciding where you want your table, dance floor or whatever is going to be underneath this ceiling to be.
Then hang your papel picado and garlands from the ceiling at varying heights and angles. You can simply use a small piece of painter’s tape to secure your streamers, but you could also tie them to nearby hooks or curtain rods. Make sure that they are high enough that everyone can safely walk underneath without snagging them.
Blow up as many balloons as possible and tie each with gold ribbon. Let them float up to the ceiling and trim any strings that are too long!
Decorate your table or other party set-up underneath your festive ceiling. Choose a colorful serape runner or a Mexican Serape blanket, planted cacti and succulents in emptied sauce cans {some spray painted and some left original} and add a mini maraca at each place setting!
SO FUN!
