What I’m Wearing…
* Flared leggings (old from Victoria’s Secret)
* DIY I’m Speaking t-shirt
* Vintage leopard print coat (was my grandma’s – and she made it herself in the 1960’s) it’s always been my favorite and I’ve worn it for years as you’ve seen on the blog (this was the first time back in 2009), but lately I love the idea of it with more casual items, even though it’s more of a cocktail, evening coat
* Chanel sunglasses… I think I bought these in or around 2003 🤔, so they’re vintage now… This is a surreal realization – that I’ve had things long enough to be vintage – things that I ACTUALLY PURCHASED AS AN ADULT – brand new! Not items that were thrifted or already vintage or belonged to my mom or grandma, but that I literally bought brand new and still have. Beyond comprehension.
* Marc Jacobs bag – I cannot stop using this bag. I swear it’s the longest I’ve used a bag maybe EVER without taking breaks in between. There’s just something so perfect about it. 🤷♀️

Obviously the leopard jacket makes this outfit special… because as you can see above, it’s pretty basic. If I swapped my Pumas for my running shoes, I’d wear this outfit on my walk/hike…
And while it is elevated by the coat, it still feels a bit like pajamas 😊 maybe because it’s just so comfortable… but also, the shoes look a little flattened out, like slippers.
This has been a very emotional week and it’s only Tuesday night, as I type this… although it seems Trump will be our president again and I am saddened for us as women and for US as a whole. I guess I was just hoping for major change in a positive new direction, the same feeling I had in 2008 when I voted for Obama. It’s the first time since then where I’ve felt like we had a chance to actually make a meaningful change, but I felt crushed watching the votes come in. I dunno. It was very depressing I guess. Hopefully it all ends well, for everyone. 🙏
And lastly, it’s fun being able to shoot outfits in areas that aren’t just woodsy/residential. I’ve missed the city I guess, even though this little city aint got nothing on LA, it’s good enough for now. ☺️
