After seeing these AMAZING bedazzled fingers created by Max Kibardin for the Ralph Rucci RTW Spring 2014 runway collection, I just had to recreate them. I thought the easiest way to get a similar look was with stretchy sequined trim, though I only had gold to work with. So I got busy… you may have noticed them in my Galaxy Nails post, because the colors matched so perfectly and I made them the same day, but I’d love to do a version in silver that is just a tad more chic than costume-y.All that said, they are the epitome of “Spirit Fingers” or “Jazz Hands” which are always appropriate, don’t you think? 🙂
Here’s What You’ll Need…
* Stretchy sequin trim is the easiest route, though it’s bulky. If you’d like them a bit more slim and sleek, you can simply stitch together bits of elastic, then hand-stitch sequins and beads into place. I liked that they were already fully covered with glitz and glam.
* Small loose beads.
* Scissors/Needle and thread
This DIY is ridiculously EASY!
Steps…
* If your sequin trim is too large, like mine was, simple cut it down to your desired size/width.
* Hand stitch your ends together, then add beads for textured, depth, and color. I used red, black, and gold beads, but if I were doing the silver version, I may stick to rhinestones and pearls.
Voila… Voila!
Have Fun!
