What I’m Wearing…
* Lace bodysuit by Cosabella
* Dark wash/medium high rise skinny jeans by Parker Smith
* Leather moto jacket by Helmut Lang
* Lace up combat boots by Joie
* Sunglasses by Thierry Lasry
* Classic ‘Town’ bag by Balenciaga from What Goes Around Comes Around… still my favorite bag of the moment.
* Lancome lips … a serious FAVE right now for color and texture!
* Title: Tori Amos – Leather… because a ’90s favorite was appropriate.
I wore this out a few weekends ago… and I think I liked it in person better than I do in the photos. Sometimes outfits just don’t photograph as well as they look in real life, or more importantly, as well as they make you feel, which, unless you’re being photographed publicly or on the red carpet, is really the most important thing. I had a TON of questions in real life and on Snapchat about this bodysuit, and let me tell you ladies, it’s fabulous! It’s a little expensive, but worth it because it’s soft and comfortable and flattering. I wore it alone because hey, it was Friday night and I was going out dancing, but it’s also cute under a sweater or blazer or with a pencil skirt, etc. It’s a layering dream!
In other SUPER IMPORTANT NEWS 😉 I think I’m getting tired of my bangs… which is funny because they’re starting to trend HARD right now… which in all honesty, is usually the time I’m pretty much done with something. *sigh*
The major pros to them are as follows: they give you an immediate “style” without really having to try too hard. Especially if you have thick hair, like mine, you can pull off a retro look, which is my favorite part about them. 2. They hide the lines on my forehead… and this makes me happy because I don’t get fillers and I don’t really want to and bangs just make all of those issues disappear. Any overhead lighting makes me want to RUN. 3. They look REALLY cute in updo hair styles. But I’m not sure I wear my hair up enough to notice.
I’m just feeling like I want REALLY LONG hair again and grown out bangs… and maybe because summer is coming and that always reminds me of loose waves and carefree hair and bangs have a certain “done” look about them. So maybe this is the perfect time to start growing them out… they’ll hit right at my cheek bones come summer and maybe I can wear them floppy with waves or back and BIG with a messy look… I dunno. I guess I’ll have to wait and see 🙂
Happy Thursday Lovecats!
