Okay, so if you’ve been following my Snaps {maegantintari} or maybe you saw it on Instagram or Twitter yesterday evening, you may already know that I’m working with Walgreens & P&G and going to The People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday {TOMORROW!} January 6th and I’m super excited and I hope you’ll join me socially!
This isn’t my first time working with these fabulous brands though… Remember in 2014 when I got to meet Tim Gunn and chat fashion and beauty trends in Walgreens? It was super fun and Tim was just as lovely in person as he is on Project Runway. But this collaboration is a little more involved.
I’m driving down to LA this afternoon to check into the Residence Inn Los Angeles – LA Live and along with a few others tomorrow morning, I’ll be getting a full glam makeover to #RockTheRedCarpet using some of the fab Covergirl products I bought at my recent trip to Walgreens.
After a day of star treatment, we’re heading over to the red carpet {around 4pm} where we’ll be for about an hour scouting fashion and beauty trends. Make sure to watch the pre-show red carpet events so we can chat about it and hopefully get a little air time as well 😉
Of course after the red carpet comes the actual show where I’ll be live Snapping and Tweeting as well as part of a Twitter party starting at around 5pm PT / 8pm ET and you can join in using the hashtag #RockTheRedCarpet and even win prizes too! {full details below}

My Dress Options…
So as fun as it would be to go FULL ON GLAM RED CARPET, The People’s Choice Awards are a bit less formal than the other awards shows and more playful. In addition to the fact that I’ll be there working, rather than -well, let’s just say, a nominated celebrity 😉 – choosing a dress that was appropriate was a little difficult.
My first choice was this incredible Emilio Pucci gown {and really still is}, but even on sale it was far too expensive, so after scrolling through nearly every single online boutique, I found two fantastic options at BCBG MaxAzria, seen below. They were both also on sale at the time of purchase and a fraction of the cost of the Pucci, so I thought I’d be safe and get them both and decide which one felt more “right” for the event when the time came.
I actually really like them both… but sadly they’re both a little bit too big. The black dress with the feathers is more fun and playful while the black lace gown felt a little more formal, though still with a relaxed vibe about it.
I tried them on and snapped them… to which I received the exact number of response for both dresses! It’s the way I feel too, and I’m just not sure AND it’s supposed to rain… this means that A. The black dress may be too cold, though I could opt for boots with it and add a little leather jacket for an edgy vibe and B. The long dress will drag on the ground and get all wet and/or be annoying because I’ll have to hold it up whilst walking, etc.
Do you see my dilemma?
Because of this, I may shop a little in LA before checking into my hotel, just to have another option… and I think I’ll know for sure after my hair and makeup are done, and once I know for sure what the weather will be like.
I couldn’t leave without getting a pedicure, now could I? I used the Covergirl Outlast polish in ‘Red Revenge’
