What I’m Wearing
* Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent berry silk & mess dress …worn as a blouse …seen here
* Vintage Anne Klein skirt, thrifted – but seriously could’ve come directly out of my Grandma’s closet. It actually came with a matching blouse that will be used to create an entirely different outfit most likely in the Fall.
* Victoria’s Secret open cardigan in pesto {they’re on sale now for $29.50 …and obvs, very versatile}
* Vintage Napier gold chain and pearl necklace was my grandma’s, vintage nude belt with gold buckle clasp, thrifted the same time I scored this vintage seahorse necklace at Salvation army, vintage gold earrings were my grandma’s too, gold D&G watch & various gold stacking rings from GILT
* Cynthia Rowley burgundy “Constance” bag …again, can’t get enough of this bag lately, it’s just working with most everything right now.
* Tom Ford Anouk cat eye sunglasses
* Boutique 9 nude anklestrap heels
* Hair: Ginormous bun …created from a ridiculously high pony tail, then swooped and pinned down wherever necessary
Today is officially my first day of vacation from the art gallery I work at 3 days a week and though I’m going to miss drollgirl terribly, I am giddy with joy and excitement . . .no, not for a fabulous trip the husband and I have planned, but for a little relaxation and to just be able to focus on and finish all the things at home I never have time for because of these 3 extra days a week that are spent elsewhere. Yes, soon, I will say goodbye to the part time graphic/web designer position I’ve held for the last eleven years as blogging has become my full-time job now. And while I could quit now …and could’ve actually quit quite some time ago, I am finding it particularly difficult to do so. Maybe because I like the stability of it, maybe because I like money, yes, LA is an expensive place to live and I enjoy nice things but mostly, because I’ve worked for this art dealer since I was 24 years old . . . and next Wednesday, I’m turning 35. And that’s a long time. And quite honestly, I’m finding it very difficult to say goodbye.
But enough of that . . . for now, I’m free . . . and if you’re reading this before 10 am, you should know that I am probably in our bed sleeping …the husband is up so it’s just me and LeRoy cuddling now …because I’m on vacation! {I wore this outfit yesterday}
