Before I started …love Maegan, I had a small eco-company called beSmartbeGreen where I sold quirky eco canvas bags to replace the use of plastic shopping bags and blogged about environmental issues as well. If you’ve been following me from the beginning, you may have a vague memory of this {& thanks for sticking around for so long Lovecats! 🙂 }
Ultimately I got lost in a sea of environmental blogs and companies that were all starting at the same time and even though my tag line was “Change YOUR world, save OUR planet”, I felt very small and that I had little to offer in comparrison.
A few months and a summer later I began this blog, obviously encompassing all of my passions and life story, as well as becoming a creative outlet to share and inspire -and a place where I thought I could incorporate my passion for the earth, its beings, and the environment as a whole. And for quite a while, I did occasionally post about such things, but then I quietly just continued living in a way that was congruent with my beliefs without sharing that part of my life so much.
By no means do I live perfectly, but I try, and I think if I’m thinking about it more and talking about it more, I can {we can} all be better at giving back a little more and taking just a little less.
Recently I’ve been itching to get a little bit more involved again and spreading my wings a bit further than just changing my own world. I really and truly believe if we all change our thinking and take only as much as we need, we would create less waste and give this planet we all call home a break from our own human consumption and destruction, we could truly make a difference. And I think if we’re thinking about those kind of larger things, we live in a way that radiates with kindness and compassion rather than constantly worrying about ourselves all the time.

Happy Earth Day!
Let’s start living like it’s Earth Day everyday and be grateful for this planet that gives us life!
