A package arrived last week full of goodies for an upcoming Sonia Kashuk beauty review I’ve been asked to do… but I couldn’t wait and had to try out the nail colors asap! They were obviously made to complement each other and I actually love the mint with just the gold tips. But since it’s been done a hundred times before, I added the coral teardrops for fun which gave it a bit of a Mid-Century Modern feel.
* Golden Ticket {31}, Fairy Princess {26}, Tango Mango {28}
* Sonia’s nail colours are the most affordable 3-free on the market — free of the most common toxic chemicals found in nail polish: Dibutyl Phthalate (BDP), Formaldehyde and Toluene – which I love
* Admittedly though, the minty base coat dried with a bit of unwanted texture, even after two coats. But the top coat I applied to the entire manicure smoothed everything out perfectly.
* I free-hand painted a gold tip. You can use tape or special French tip sticker guides if you prefer.
* Using a toothpick, carefully dab on your dots… for a more mid-century modern look, make them narrow and pointed, similar to teardrops. For perfect dots, use a nail art dotter or nail pen.
* Use your favorite clear coat… mine is Essie “Good to Go” at the moment.
Have Fun!
