Since the day I met him, my husband has been obsessed with personalizing things. From his license plate on his car to his t-shirts, jerseys, and hats, he’ll come up with some clever variation of his name to put on it and be thrilled. I’ve never been one to monogram anything really, but personalization can be so much more than that these days.
When Personal Creations reached out and asked to collaborate, I thought this could be a fun way to create some really funny and different personalized pieces that go beyond simply using first and last names and initials… and I did just that!
Though I did use our name and initial in a few items, I got creative and a little quirky with how I tied it all together.
For instance, my husband loves Game of Thrones AND to refer to us as King and Queen, so when I saw this hilarious doormat with a family of bears in the woods, I thought it would be a perfect way to include all of our silly names for our dogs as well as reference our move to the mountains.
It’s a bit thin for outdoor use, so I ultimately used it in the stairwell to the garage, where it matched so nicely.
Keeping with the King and Queen theme, I personalized these cute mason jars so we’d each have our own. I think this would be a cute idea for a bridal party as well.
Unfortunately, you can’t really see the etching when the jars are filled up with a light liquid, like my favorite banana/coconut slushies, but the personalized “T” cutting board makes a nice serving tray either way.
If you noticed the few photos at the top, you’ll see I found matching dog beds for all my boys and simply used their real names. I actually was trying to get creative with their names like I did on the doormat, but there wasn’t enough characters/space on this one. The boys love their new beds though… and Trevor’s already tried to eat them all, as he does with all dog beds.
I couldn’t leave my niece Delilah out, so I found this ADORABLE sleeping bag for her to use when she sleeps over {or to take with her to slumber parties} and since she stated that she wants to be a princess when she grows up, I thought ‘Princess Dee’ was fitting. I can’t wait to give it to her!
This cute gray and black chevron beach towel lets you either write an entire name out or monogram it. So I opted for the monogram feature and used ‘OMG’ instead of my own initials because it made me giggle! It comes with a matching pair of flip flops too!
I used the same ‘OMG’ monogram on this cute lucite tray for my office. The best thing about this lucite tray is that the monogram comes laminated and slipped between a magnetic lucite bottom so you can swap it out!
And last but not least, and maybe my favorite idea of all… I found this Eat.Sleep.{blank} sweatshirt and added BLOG… because if you’re a blogger, this is essentially your life 😉 But you can add anything you like!
