* Little black off the shoulder dress by Free People …though it’s a little too big. I thought it would be skin tight so I bought a medium, but it’s much looser than I thought so it bunches in the middle AND rides up when I walk… but still cute, so, totally worth it, lol.

Waiting. Waiting. Waiting.
I hate waiting. I’m better about it now, in my old age, and I react differently to it now as well, but there’s still an element of impatience that creeps over and takes hold of my being, solidifying in my neck and shoulders intensely until the wait is over, or until I get what I want. That’s usually the case with waiting, right? Waiting to hear if we’re going to get whatever it is we’re waiting for, whether good or bad… because generally, it’s something that is going to change the path we’re on, move us forward, or make certain situations that are uncertain.
…Because in “the wait” you have no control really. You can move forward only so much without having to just sit back and let things unravel as they may and that’s where patience and a little bit of faith come in. Faith that events are happening exactly the way they’re supposed to whether we have a feeling of control over them or not. Trusting in the process of life, sitting back and remembering the journey is actually the fun part, as cliche as it sounds, it’s the truth. Rushing matters to make them fit into a time frame that offers a feeling of control within uncertainty, isn’t really certain at all. So take a deep breath, and let it go.
It is the definition of little.black.dress.
It probably would’ve been cuter with my ankle strap sandals, but it was chilly the night I wore it out, so boots to the rescue.
