Where do I start?

My house sold in a week and now we’re in escrow as of last Friday, April 5th. I had the inspection yesterday morning and one more coming next Monday and I guess if all goes well, escrow will go as it should and I will be moving out the first week of June… and yet another insanely life-altering event falls on my birthday. crazy.

Dogwood Tavern celebrated its one year birthday last Saturday night with a super fun Totally 80s party and I may have had one too many cocktails… which always lowers my immune system and so I’ve also been fighting a cold ever since, which doesn’t help my moodiness -so I’ve been up and down, happy and sad… and angry. This entire house situation just doesn’t seem fair, but I guess fair is relative. I’m sure my ex thinks it’s beyond fair, but he’s an evil douchebag. so there’s that.

Anyway, I’ve been emotional to say the least, having a difficult time letting go of it all, but there’s nothing like finding a lump in your breast to give you a little perspective, eh?

So yeah, last night, I found a lump… and suddenly the house didn’t matter anymore.

nothing did.

Not sure why, but every time I grab my camel coat lately, I also grab these blue Puma’s – I dunno why but I like the two colors together, I suppose. I guess it seems like an odd choice, but I’m loving it lately. See them together here too with plaid pants.
