Even though I’m in puppy heaven on earth these days with our new boys, I could NOT pass up sharing this ADORABLE editorial from Vogue.com called “The Cat and the Flat”.
Not only are the photos fantastic, the shoes are pretty amazing as well… though I do prefer the cat to the flat in a few. As with all fashion trends, life cycles them back around again, and I’m actually pretty happy at this stage in my life to be choosing flats over heels…. and I never thought I’d give up my heels! I think maybe if I still had a day job where I had to get dressed for work, in that sort of business casual way, I would still be wearing heels, but I only have the need for them now on special occasions, very much like when I was a tween and teen. How funny! Sure it’s a new ’90s, but these old squished up, mangled, and bunioned feet of mine have been wearing heels since the late nineties and they are happy to see many of them sitting high up on shelves in my closet and covered in dust.

This last one reminds me of Achilles… I miss that sketchy stray cat. She would never let us touch her, let alone get within two feet, even when I had tuna in my hand {except that one time she hissed and tried to swat at it, yikes!}, so there was no chance she would ever come with us when we moved. I do know that the neighbors across the street fed her before we did, so I’m sure she’s happily eating somewhere.
