Spring has SPRUNG on my fingers!
My pretty floral ear jackets from aurate finally arrived and I love them (see photos below)… and then they inspired this little nail art manicure, kind of.
My nails have been growing like crazy during quarantine and I think it has to do with all the extra vitamins I’m taking… well anyway, I haven’t painted them since this cute little abstract french manicure LAST MAY and I thought it was time to add a little color back into my life and boy does it! My hands feels so much more feminine and pretty with painted nails, though I’m often too lazy to care about the upkeep of it all, so I don’t.
To be honest, all my pastel skates inspired the color scheme, which isn’t all that original, but still pretty cute, in my opinion, and then the flowers were just a sweet little bonus, so I thought I’d share 🙂
Here’s What I Used…
Choose your favorite pastel polishes!
My shades are pretty old but here’s what I used… from pinky to thumb
* Essie “Mint Candy Apple” (mint)
* Essie “In Full Swing” (pink)
* Revlon Color Stay Gel Envy in “Lovestruck” (blue)
* Francesca’s Collections in “Mystic Shores” (aqua)
* Sally Hansen “King of Shadows” (lavender)
THESE NAMES!!! ahahah I could write a romance novel!
Tiny dried flowers I found on amazon ages ago and created this floral nail art manicure and haven’t used them since!
Here’s How I Did it…
Apply two coats of your pastel colors to your nails and let dry.
Grab your dried flowers and choose your accent nails… dab a tiny bit of a clear coat on the nail, quickly place your flower… carefully use a toothpick to set it in place (the edges tend to stick up a little).
NOTE: the flowers are very delicate and tend to rip easily, but still look pretty when torn, as you can see from my pink accent nail with two of the petals separated.
Finish with your favorite top coat! Mine is Seche Vite!
And… With my New Flower Earrings!
Ooh… ARTSY!
Happy Hump Day Lovecats!
