I realized after shooting about 20 shots this morning that I was back lit and figured they’d all be too dark to use …I was almost right. I ended up pulling the car over and setting the camera on the hood to take this one above …omg it’s the only one that came out.
What I’m Wearing
* Black “petal” puff sleeve top …mine! …DIY HERE
* Vintage Yellow shantung a-line skirt …came with this little jacket
* Forever 21 satin/gem belt …which actually came with this black dress but it’s never quite looked right with anything until now.
* Wide black plastic/shiny hoops …unkown.
* Calvin Klein snakeskin platform pumps …last seen here
* Hair : Hot rollers …rolled from the bottom up …not brushed out. pinned on top. sprayed
I have literally been DYING to wear this outfit since I made this top! …but I thought it was a bit too much for summer. Since I can’t really wear anything over these mighty poufs, I had to sneak it in before it actually gets too cold to wear it bare armed. {although I’m definitely seeing it over a black turtleneck in a few months}
What’s funny is I first tried it on with a pair of wide-leg trousers and while it was okay, it just wasn’t right. For some reason I thought the skirt was going to be too tight for “this time of the month” but it’s definitely working. And I’m super happy about it because it’s the perfect outfit to kick off October …and who cares if I’ve got a safety pin holding the zipper up because I can’t clasp the top hook? The belt covers it anyway 😉
