What I’m Wearing …a simple outfit for a simple afternoon
* J Brand “Houlihan” skinny cargo pants …same basic outfit here but styled differently today.
* Liz Claiborne vintage top . . . little story behind this; Masumi my pseudo-grandmother gave this top to my mom in the 70’s because it was a bit too big on her . . . and I stole it from my mom last year . . . and didn’t really realize til after getting dressed how appropriately funny it was that I was wearing it to this event and thought it was funny when my mom told her the story. She kind of couldn’t believe it, lol …we have a tendency to hold onto certain things in our family. Also a funny note, Masumi was wearing a very similar color scheme as I was . . .she’s always had amazing style.
* My armful of the same vintage bangles and my leather lanyard bracelet . . .which I seem to wear daily now. {buy my exact bracelet here}
* Cynthia Vincent olive zip “Murray” sandals
* Cynthia Rowley tassel bag . . . even though the clasp refuses to stay shut, this is my bag of the moment. It has the perfect modern 70’s vibe that I’m loving right now.
* Title: lyrics from 50 cent “In Da Club” …because
It was my Grandpa’s 90th Birthday and we all got together on Saturday at my Uncle’s place to celebrate and had such a lovely time. Ninety is old, yo! …but my grandpa sure doesn’t act like a 90 year old man. I hear 90 is the new 70 anyway 😉 I absolutely adore the photos of he and Masumi sitting on the bench and kissing, they’re just too sweet. They met in Japan in the 70’s when my grandpa was gigging there . . . he’s a drummer 🙂 and they’ve been in love ever since!
I forgot my Nikon so I used my iPhone for photo-taking … and apologies if you follow me on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram and have already seen these.

* Hope all you moms had a wonderful Mother’s Day yesterday!
