I’ve never really been one who had any desire to live on or near a golf course, although when once thinking about moving to Palm Springs (before realizing that I’d have to move elsewhere for the Summer due to my skin actually melting off of my bones in the 120 degree heat), there were a few dreamy places I considered looking at on a golf course there. But A. I don’t golf and B. I’m not the Country Club type, although the idea of driving a golf cart does sound like a lot of fun.
There happens to be a beautiful golf course up here in Lake Arrowhead and what I hadn’t thought of until seeing these photos is just how much more beautiful the golf course looks in winter, covered in snow.
I give you views from this house, in various seasons as proof…

Hideous, right? 😉
While this home is rather modest on the outside (in comparison only to others in the area) the interior is beautiful and almost looks like a showroom of sorts, because it’s been designed/decorated so well – though obviously, I’d change a few things… I can’t help it.
Living on the golf course almost gives you the best of two worlds because you get the green grassy rolling hills on the course, which you don’t see much elsewhere up here because we all conserve water and do not grow grass (I think the pines have something to do with it as well, because mostly the dwellings in the wooded areas rarely have grass, but the homes in the gated communities that have all been landscaped and are free of many of the tall forest pines, also have lawns and such – but I could be making all of that up, don’t quote me on it, lol)
SO yeah, you get the tree lined mountain tops behind the rolling grass hills and little water features (do they call them little lakes? I don’t even know), the reflection of all the beauty in the water and the seasons all changing around it.
So yeah, I’d consider it 😉

What I Love About The Home from the owner
Sitting on the deck in the morning having coffee watching the various birds and ending the day with a glass of wine watching the sunset colors unfold. Walking down the deck steps onto the fairway to play, show the kids the bullfrogs or go snowshoeing. Having exterior stairs to the art studio allows for visitors access without entering the main house. The floor plan allows for entertaining with indoor/outdoor living and the professional kitchen is fun to create meals in. The house is close to hop over to the market or Hwy 18 to get down the hill, and also a lovely short walk or golf cart ride to the Lake Arrowhead Country Club Clubhouse for meals, pool or fun.
And now finally for a little interior view…
I’d keep everything but the tree on the oven hood vent…
I mean… I dunno, I could MAYBE get used to this ridiculously idyllic view.
Alright, the rainbow sealed the deal
