How amazing is this vintage charm bracelet? …except it wasn’t originally made for everyday fashion but is traditional jewelry for a man’s lederhosen outfit. It’s made of small wild boar tusks, antlers and rabbits foot for good luck!
Charivari (which mans “jumbled up”) is the Bavarian name for a chain – originally only worn by men – which is stretched over the belly and has various different pendants like teeth of animals, coins, amulets with the picture of a saint against diseases. May either be a chain (kette) across the mid-section or a pin (stecker) worn at the hip. Although it was traditionally worn by men this nice jewelry was recently adopted by woman to wear on dirndl dresses or skirts or suits. — Source
Imagine it not only around your wrist but hanging from your bag, attached to a belt or added to a chain to create a long necklace. I just love it and am so tempted to buy it. You can see the listing here, it’s $325 and it’s fabulous.
