What I’m Wearing…
* Black scoop neck bodysuit {which I’m wearing off the shoulder -and it totally stays down} from Yandy.com and it was $5.95. I’m about to order a second one now. It’s a little more sheer online than it is in person. When it’s against your skin, it’s completely opaque.
* DIY Lace Choker {a favorite at the moment}
* Black faux leather bomber jacket by Obey
* Oversized round sunglasses by Salvatore Ferragamo
* Jeans by Blank Denim {another -totally different but totally similar- favorite pair of jeans by Blank denim}
* Boots from Target
* Balenciaga classic town bag
* Nails: Lovestruck by Revlon… my spring favorite so far.
* Title: Sia ‘Move Your Body’
I woke up this morning thinking we all deserve to be happy. And wondered why we so often accept a life where we are not. Sometimes it’s circumstantial, of course, but oftentimes, in a larger realm, we settle for a life that is not entirely what we actually want by convincing ourselves that somehow -certain parts of it- are what we want. And then we find ourselves unhappy and wonder why. We wonder how we got there. We wonder if we can ever get out. We wonder if it’s possible to actually live the life of our dreams or if instead, it’s more normal not to, because who really gets everything that they desire out of life? But why not, I ask you? Why should we settle when we really don’t have to? At any point we can choose to change everything, and while change is certainly more difficult than well, not changing, is it really worth the risk? Even though it may feel like the safer route, I think there is more risk in not changing than there is in deciding you deserve the life you always wanted and taking the plunge. Because life is too short to accept anything less, and unhappiness is the symptom we’ve become too accustomed to settling for. So jump.
Happy Monday Lovecats!
