* Title: Prince ‘When Doves Cry’ … my favorite Prince song {though there are so many great ones} and I’m so sad to hear of his random and untimely death yesterday. He was too young. He was too talented. All the sad faces.
Yesterday I had an appointment for a Botox/filler consultation. I know, I know… And then I freaked-TF-out and cancelled it the day before. I know so many people do it and think it’s no big deal, and maybe it’s not, but it really terrifies me – so much so, that I’ll have to just accept the aging process and face the lines getting really comfortable on my skin… that seem to get deeper with each passing day. I always hoped I’d age gracefully and maybe that is what this means… but I’m not exactly happy with my reflection because somehow I see the lines as “ugly” instead of just what they are; experiences, memories, emotions, life. And I find with my 40th birthday looming, I’m thinking about it far too often.
I wore this outfit last weekend, and loved it, though I don’t think it photographs as well as it made me feel wearing it… I think the height of the boots on my calves makes the jeans a little less flattering than they actually are OR I’m just standing in weird poses/angles, but whatever, I’m clearly being critical today, lol. Other than the white jeans, it had a bit of a Fall feeling due to the warm hues, but I didn’t care. I was hoping it would be the last chilly weekend where I’d have to wear such a big coat, because I’m dying for a little time in the sun right now… and so ready for dresses and bare legs and sneakers again.
