* Red pants & jacket by Reigning Fury – I’m wearing a small in both.
* Long sleeve crop top – – -IT WAS a classic cotton/jersey ballet leotard that was too small/short, so I cut off the crotch and it’s one of my favorite crop tops. I love the fit and how the bottom is soft and doesn’t squeeze because there’s no hem.

I have gotten the fun job of laundering our dirty bar and kitchen towels…
I’m telling you Lovecats, this bar business is GLAMOROUS 😉 and as you might know from my Instagram stories a while back, my washing machine only starts when it wants to – but also, I don’t want to wash these towels in the same machine that washes my clothes (because LOOK AT THEM!!!), SO I head to the closest (and only) laundromat on the mountain in Cedar Glenn about once a week to wash them. The owner (John, who also has tailoring and dry cleaning services) is the nicest and always has detergent and quarters ready for me in the event that I forget either… which is common.
Well last week I thought I’d merge my two careers (or whatever you call this working life I find myself in) and shoot part of this amazing activewear collection at the laundromat WHILE I was actually doing the laundry.
I thought it was genius, lol… I’m sure the patrons who were looking at my mom and I like we were insane, thought we were, well, insane.
But it was fun. And I knew the very cool looking silver washer/dryer units would be a perfect backdrop for this red look, which I am obsessed with actually. The pants fit like a dream. They’re so soft and comfy in this material and though they are tightly fitted, they DON’T squeeze anywhere (like around the waist – because I hate that feeling more than I hate the look of a squeezed waist) and they don’t fall down either. They literally stay in the exact place you put them on. And that may sound weird, but if you’re a woman and you’re used to consciously or unconsciously yanking up your yoga pants and leggings (and even your skinny jeans) cuz they’re always falling damn down, then you’ll understand how beautiful a feeling it is to have your pants stay exactly where you want them to… the entire time you’re wearing them. I know, what a concept!
But beyond comfort and true staying power, they’re totally flattering as well, which usually wins out over comfort. But when you get them both, you become a lover and that’s when a brand wins you over for life.
It’s crazy to me how my blogging life and real life and now bar/business life have merged in a way I wasn’t really anticipating, but I love it. Reigning Fury is a local-ish brand who I’ve met via Dogwood Tavern that I’ve partnered with because I love what they do and their product is something to stand behind.
And let’s be honest, we wear our activewear EVERYWHERE and not just to work out in… and sometimes to do laundry in too 😉
